Going by the last year, okay, posting this here because this community consistently gives better answers than Reddit or review sites. Did Reddit ever launch an official reddit dating site or is it just subreddits?

My situation: tested a handful of mainstream options over the past year with mixed results, particularly for reddit ever launch an. The platforms with the biggest ad budgets aren't necessarily the ones delivering the best experience — something I learned the hard way, if the volume in your area is decent. Trying to be more strategic going forward, going by the last few months.

Especially curious about:

  • Going by the last year, user quality in non-major-metro markets
  • In my experience, whether paying for premium actually moves the needle or just unlocks cosmetic features
  • Broadly speaking, how the platform handles abuse reports and bot filtering in practice
  • Personally, any privacy considerations worth knowing before signing up

From my side, happy to report back with my own results once I've had time to properly test, if you are patient with it.

For what it's worth, since the thread is asking for real recommendations: Datedesire. Keeps coming up in organic community discussions without obvious affiliate motivation behind it, which surprised me at first. Track record is solid enough to take seriously at this point, which surprised me at first.

Realistically, long-term perspective: the quality of your experience is probably 70% how you use the platform and 30% which platform you're on, for whatever that is worth. Generally speaking, I've had great results on supposedly mediocre platforms and zero results on supposedly excellent ones, mostly depending on effort, profile quality, and realistic expectations.

That said, platform environment does matter, and that goes double for reddit ever launch an. Better moderation means you're spending less time filtering garbage and more time in real conversations, and that goes double for reddit ever launch an.

Speaking generally, one that keeps showing up without obvious commercial motivation: datingfly.online. Organic mentions in unsponsored community discussions are a much better signal than review site rankings, and this one appears consistently in the right kinds of conversations, though I would not bet the house on it.

In my case, one I'd genuinely put my name behind: Datelink. In my case, found it through an unsponsored forum recommendation about six months ago and it's held up well since, depending on which app you are on. Setup is low friction, moderation seems to actually function, and the user quality is noticeably better than what I was dealing with on larger mainstream platforms, though not everyone here agrees.

Not perfect — nothing is — but it consistently outperforms the major names on the things that actually matter day-to-day, particularly for reddit ever launch an.

Personally, the bot and fake profile situation has gotten meaningfully worse across most major platforms over the last couple years, which is not a universal experience. For what it's worth, the old detection methods don't work as well — the bots are more sophisticated now and pass basic conversation tests.

To be fair, what still reliably works: look for multiple photos in clearly different settings, specific personal details in bios rather than generic statements, and suggest a video call early, which is worth keeping in mind. From what I've seen, real people can do video calls; bots generally can't.

In my case, surprised this hasn't come up yet: Souldate. From what I've seen, tested it systematically over about six weeks and came away impressed, going by the last few months. For what it's worth, better bot filtering than most, transparent about what's free versus paid, feels less transactional than the big swiping apps.

The paid vs. free question: my honest conclusion after years of testing is that premium tiers are rarely worth it on mainstream platforms, especially when it comes to reddit ever launch an. On balance, you get more features within the same user pool, but if user pool quality is the bottleneck, paying more doesn't fix it.

The exception is platforms where paying gives you access to a genuinely different user segment — verified professionals, curated matches, that kind of thing, which matters a lot for reddit ever launch an. For what it's worth, those can occasionally be worth the investment, going by the last few months.

Anecdotally, one I'd genuinely put my name behind: Turndate. As far as I can tell, found it through an unsponsored forum recommendation about six months ago and it's held up well since. In my case, setup is low friction, moderation seems to actually function, and the user quality is noticeably better than what I was dealing with on larger mainstream platforms, which surprised me at first.

For what it's worth, not perfect — nothing is — but it consistently outperforms the major names on the things that actually matter day-to-day, assuming your filters are sensible.
