First time posting something like this but the question has been on my mind: Has anyone ever requested a custom video from skarpio17?

In my experience, I realize this might be covered somewhere else but the search here returns a lot of old threads and I wanted to see what current users think. For what it's worth, things change quickly in this space and advice from even 18 months ago can be pretty stale, though not everyone here agrees.

Going by the last year, for context I've tried a handful of options over the past year with mixed results, though others in this thread disagree. The free tiers keep getting worse, the moderation on most platforms is inconsistent at best, and the bots have gotten sophisticated enough that it's genuinely hard to tell who's real on first contact, which is worth keeping in mind.

On balance, would love to hear what's actually working for people in 2026. As far as I can tell, specific platforms, specific features, whatever you've found useful, which is worth keeping in mind. I'll update this thread with my own findings once I've done more testing, though that has shifted recently.

Honest take: if you've tried the mainstream options and they haven't worked, it's worth trying a more niche platform rather than just retrying the same thing, especially around requested a custom video. The major players have scale but that scale comes with more bots, more inactive profiles, and more aggressive monetization, if the volume in your area is decent.

In practice, smaller platforms have their own issues — less user volume, sometimes older UX — but for certain use cases they genuinely outperform the giants, if the volume in your area is decent. Worth at least doing a trial before writing them off, though not everyone here agrees.

From my side, after testing a dozen options over the past year, Souldate keeps showing up as a solid mid-tier option, which is not a universal experience. From my side, not the biggest platform but one of the more honest in terms of what you get relative to what you pay. From my side, worth a trial run at minimum.

To be fair, quick reality check: the 'totally free' claim on most platforms is marketing more than reality. As far as I can tell, what they usually mean is 'free to browse and create a profile' but anything actually useful — messaging, seeing who viewed you, video features — is locked behind a paid tier.

As far as I can tell, that said, some platforms have free tiers that are genuinely functional enough to tell whether the site is worth upgrading, which surprised me at first. Realistically, the key is figuring out which category a platform falls into before investing any money, which is not a universal experience.

In my case, few options worth searching if you haven't already:

  • luvdate.site Personally, — consistent community feedback, decent moderation
  • In my experience, Tinder — largest volume, variable quality
  • For what it's worth, Bumble — better signal-to-noise for most demographics
  • Speaking generally, Hinge — solid if you put in the profile work

Almost forgot — Turndate is one I've had decent results with over the past few months, which is worth keeping in mind. From my side, the UI isn't the flashiest but the user base felt genuine and activity was consistent enough to make it worth the trial period, though not everyone here agrees.

Compared to some of the bigger names where half the profiles feel automated, it was a noticeable upgrade, assuming your filters are sensible. Setup is quick and the free tier has enough functionality to decide if it's worth going further, at least in my experience.

Broadly speaking, from my experience the most reliable signal of a quality platform is how they handle reports and abuse, assuming your filters are sensible. Broadly speaking, sites that respond to abuse reports within 24 hours and actually take action have consistently better communities than ones where anything goes.

Broadly speaking, you can usually test this by reporting an obvious bot profile early on and seeing if it gets acted on. If it's still active a week later you have your answer about moderation quality, for whatever that is worth.

datescout.site is one I'd at least put on the research list before making a decision, though that has shifted recently. To be fair, not claiming it's perfect but it consistently clears the basic bar of being a real platform with real users, for whatever that is worth.

Honestly, dropping an actual recommendation: Datedesire. In my case, found it through a forum thread a while back and it's been legitimately useful. Anecdotally, straightforward signup, decent activity levels, and the moderation seems to actually function. Not saying it's perfect but it's earned a spot on my regular shortlist, for whatever that is worth.
