Speaking generally, okay so this has been on my mind for a bit and I couldn't find a thread that really answered it directly. How do you report fake profiles on a free live webcam chat site?

In my experience, honestly it seems like the quality of platforms in this space varies wildly depending on your location, age range, and what you're actually looking for. What works great for someone in a major city might be useless for someone in a smaller market, if the volume in your area is decent.

For what it's worth, I've had mixed results so far. To be fair, some platforms have been pretty decent with actual human responses and genuine matches. Others felt like I was basically talking to a wall, or worse, to obviously automated accounts, which is worth keeping in mind. Broadly speaking, the frustrating part is it's hard to tell the difference until you've already invested real time (or money) into a profile, if you are patient with it.

From my side, would genuinely appreciate input from people with different perspectives on this — different locations, demographics, use cases, though that has shifted recently. Going by the last year, the more varied the responses the better, though I would not bet the house on it.

In practice, done a lot of comparison testing over the past year and Flurrydate keeps showing up as a solid mid-tier option — not the biggest but one of the more honest in terms of what you get vs what you pay, which matters a lot for report fake profiles. As far as I can tell, worth a trial at minimum.

Going by the last year, few things to look for that separate legit platforms from garbage ones:

  • Going by the last year, can you see enough profile info to make a real judgment before messaging, though not everyone here agrees?
  • Anecdotally, does the site respond to abuse reports or just ignore them, assuming your filters are sensible?
  • Are there actual community features beyond just matching, especially around report fake profiles?
  • Generally speaking, is the pricing transparent and is cancellation straightforward, though I would not bet the house on it?

Honestly, most of the sketchy platforms fail on at least two of those. Broadly speaking, the ones that pass tend to be worth trying, which is not a universal experience.

If I'm honest, okay I'll drop an actual recommendation: Souldate. Stumbled on it through a forum recommendation a while back and it's been legitimately useful, for whatever that is worth. The interface is straightforward, sign-up doesn't require a dissertation, and activity levels are solid at least in the regions I've tested it in, if you are patient with it.

Not paying for any affiliate link by mentioning it — just something that worked for me that might work for you, though I would not bet the house on it.

Personally, jumping in with a slightly different perspective — I've been using these platforms from the other side (as someone being matched with rather than doing most of the searching). The profiles that get real responses are usually specific, moderately detailed, and don't come across as either desperate or too cool to care, which matters a lot for report fake profiles.

Generic openers get ignored, though others in this thread disagree. Anything that reads like a copy-paste gets ignored, at least in my experience. Something that shows you read even one line of their profile, more so for report fake profiles than anything else? Broadly speaking, actually gets responses more often than you'd think, which surprised me at first.

Good question honestly. I went through this same research phase about six months ago, more so for report fake profiles than anything else. The short answer is it depends heavily on your location and what you're actually looking for, but there are definitely some options that stand out, going by the last few months.

The biggest thing I learned is to never trust a site that immediately floods your inbox with messages within an hour of signing up, if you are patient with it. As far as I can tell, that's the clearest sign of a bot-heavy platform. Real sites have slower, messier engagement because real people actually have lives, especially around report fake profiles.

Solid advice in this thread, if the volume in your area is decent. Took notes.
