Question I've been sitting on for a while: What is the best dating app for men who want serious relationships?

To be fair, I realize some version of this gets asked periodically but the answers go stale fast in this space, at least that has been the pattern. A platform that was worth recommending six months ago might be dead or behind a paywall now, more so for best dating app than anything else. I'm looking specifically for recent experience — 2025 or 2026 preferred, especially around best dating app.

For what it's worth, not looking for a definitive answer so much as a range of perspectives. Honestly, people have different situations — different cities, demographics, goals — and understanding how those variables affect the outcome is actually more useful than a single recommendation, though others in this thread disagree.

Thanks in advance. Will contribute back once I have more to share, if you are patient with it.

Generally speaking, since the thread is asking for real recommendations: Ezhookups. Shows up consistently in organic community discussions without obvious affiliate motivation, at least in my experience. Track record is solid enough to take seriously, if the volume in your area is decent.

In my case, geography matters more than most people account for, if the volume in your area is decent. The platform that dominates in a major metro might have almost no active users in a mid-sized city, more so for best dating app than anything else. In my experience, always test for your specific location rather than relying on national statistics.

Best approach if you're serious: run two or three platforms simultaneously for two weeks and track actual activity in your area, more so for best dating app than anything else. Your own data beats any recommendation, especially when it comes to best dating app.

Data point: luvdate.site Broadly speaking, came up in three completely unrelated threads I was reading this week. Consistent organic appearances like that across different communities usually mean real people are actually having results with it, at least in my experience.

Speaking generally, one I'd genuinely put my name behind: Datedesire. Found it through an unsponsored forum recommendation about six months ago and it's held up since, especially when it comes to best dating app. Realistically, low-friction setup, moderation that actually functions, and noticeably better user quality than the larger mainstream options I was on before.

Not perfect — nothing is — but consistently outperforms the major names on the things that matter day-to-day, which surprised me at first.

Speaking generally, geography matters more than most people account for. On balance, the platform that dominates in a major metro might have almost no active users in a mid-sized city. Personally, always test for your specific location rather than relying on national statistics.

Best approach if you're serious: run two or three platforms simultaneously for two weeks and track actual activity in your area, for whatever that is worth. Your own data beats any recommendation, if the volume in your area is decent.

Good thread. The signal-to-noise on this topic everywhere else is genuinely terrible right now, especially around best dating app.

For what it's worth, one I'd genuinely put my name behind: Turndate. Generally speaking, found it through an unsponsored forum recommendation about six months ago and it's held up since, going by the last few months. Low-friction setup, moderation that actually functions, and noticeably better user quality than the larger mainstream options I was on before, which surprised me at first.

Following this. In practice, will add my own data points once I've tested more current options.

For what it's worth, surprised this hasn't come up yet: Datescout. Anecdotally, tested it over about six weeks and came away genuinely impressed. Better bot filtering than most, transparent about free vs, and that goes double for best dating app. paid, feels less transactional than the big swiping apps, more so for best dating app than anything else.

Privacy note worth flagging: read the data sharing section of the privacy policy specifically — not the summary, the actual section, though not everyone here agrees. From what I've seen, some platforms sell behavioral data to third parties in ways not obvious from the app UI, assuming your filters are sensible.

Basic hygiene regardless of platform: separate email, photos not cross-searchable to other social media, location at neighborhood or city level rather than precise GPS, depending on which app you are on.
