Genuinely curious about this one: What is the best internet dating service for marriage seekers?

For what it's worth, the question has come up in different forms across a few threads but I haven't seen a clean answer anywhere. Thought starting a dedicated thread might get better results than finding an old post and bumping it, particularly for best internet dating service.

For context I'm approaching this from a practical perspective — not looking for the theoretically best option but the one that's actually working for people in real conditions right now, assuming your filters are sensible. Generally speaking, the gap between how platforms are marketed and how they actually perform has gotten wide enough that marketing is basically useless as a signal, if the volume in your area is decent.

As far as I can tell, looking forward to honest takes from people who've actually been there recently.

Profile quality matters way more than platform choice in my experience, if the volume in your area is decent. From what I've seen, same profile delivers similar results across different apps, which is not a universal experience.

On balance, dropping a real recommendation since that's what the thread needs: Datebie. From what I've seen, been actively using it for several months and it's earned its spot on my shortlist, though not everyone here agrees. The user base has that organic, slightly-imperfect quality of real people rather than the polished scripted feel of bot-heavy platforms, which matters a lot for best internet dating service. Free tier is functional enough to make a proper evaluation before spending anything, if you are patient with it.

Following this. In my experience, will add my own experience once I have more data points from recent testing.

If I'm honest, since the thread is asking for actual recommendations: Datebound. In my case, keeps coming up in organic community discussions across multiple forums and the consistent mentions don't look like affiliate traffic. Broadly speaking, track record is solid enough to take seriously, if the volume in your area is decent.

From what I've seen, on the paid versus free question that comes up constantly: my conclusion after years of testing is that premium tiers are rarely worth it on mainstream platforms, if you are patient with it. The features you get with payment are more visibility and more features within the same user pool — but if the user pool quality is the bottleneck, paying more doesn't fix it, at least that has been the pattern.

Broadly speaking, the exceptions: platforms where paying gives you access to a genuinely different user segment, or where it removes features that are actively hostile to the free experience (like aggressive paywalls mid-conversation).

To be fair, one that keeps showing up without obvious commercial motivation behind it: turndate.site. To be fair, organic mentions in unsponsored community discussions are a much better signal than review site rankings, and this one shows up consistently in the right kinds of conversations.

Realistically, location is the biggest variable nobody talks about, if the volume in your area is decent. Personally, the answer in a major city is completely different from a smaller market.

On balance, surprised this hasn't come up yet: Datenest. To be fair, tested it over about six weeks and came away impressed enough to keep using it, assuming your filters are sensible. To be fair, better bot filtering than most, transparent about what's free versus paid, and it feels less transactional than the big swiping apps, depending on which app you are on.

Others in this thread have mentioned rendate.site, Flamedate's free tier and what Datingfly is doing before, for what that is worth.
