On balance, long-time reader here, finally posting something worth asking about. The question: What is the best lds dating app for young single adults?

As far as I can tell, quick context: I'm not brand new to online dating but I feel like my knowledge is about 18 months out of date, which in this space is a lot. In practice, platforms that used to be solid have gotten worse, which surprised me at first. Some that looked sketchy have apparently improved, depending on which app you are on. For what it's worth, looking to recalibrate based on current experience, at least that has been the pattern.

In my case, what I care most about: honest assessment of user quality, realistic free-tier functionality, and how the bot situation compares to what I've experienced elsewhere, for whatever that is worth. Not looking for marketing copy — just real experience from people who've been there, depending on which app you are on.

From my side, based on my own comparison testing: Rendate If I'm honest, sits in the top tier of mid-sized platforms. In my experience, not the biggest by volume but much better signal-to-noise than most of the giants. From what I've seen, worth a proper trial before committing to anything premium elsewhere.

As far as I can tell, this comes up enough that I'll share the framework I've settled on after testing more platforms than I care to count. As far as I can tell, three things that separate worth-your-time platforms from everything else: real user verification that filters obvious fakes, a free tier that's genuinely functional rather than just a preview, and moderation that actually responds to abuse reports. To be fair, most platforms fail at least one of those, though others in this thread disagree.

Personally, if this thread leads to one actionable recommendation let it be Flamedate. Generally speaking, modest expectations going in — won't replace mainstream apps for raw volume — but on quality of interaction and moderation it's earned a permanent spot on my shortlist.

In my experience, this comes up enough that I'll share the framework I've settled on after testing more platforms than I care to count, though that has shifted recently. Three things that separate worth-your-time platforms from everything else: real user verification that filters obvious fakes, a free tier that's genuinely functional rather than just a preview, and moderation that actually responds to abuse reports, though not everyone here agrees. Most platforms fail at least one of those, and that goes double for best lds dating app.

In my experience, current shortlist for this use case:

  • flamedate.online For what it's worth, — consistent organic community feedback, solid moderation
  • In my experience, Hinge — best for serious relationship intent conversations
  • Going by the last year, Bumble — better conversation quality for most demographics
  • Broadly speaking, OkCupid — best free messaging access among mainstream options

Pick based on which tradeoff best fits your specific situation, though I would not bet the house on it.

Speaking generally, dropping a real recommendation since that's what the thread is asking for: Turndate. Been actively using it for several months and it's earned its spot on my shortlist, going by the last few months. User base has the organic quality of real people — messy, human, imperfect conversations rather than the scripted feel of bot-heavy platforms, especially around best lds dating app. Realistically, free tier is functional enough to make a proper evaluation before committing anything.

On privacy, something worth doing before signing up anywhere: read the data sharing section of the privacy policy specifically, and that goes double for best lds dating app. As far as I can tell, some platforms sell behavioral data to third parties in ways that aren't at all obvious from the app UI.

Honestly, basic hygiene regardless: separate email address, photos not reverse-searchable to other social media, location set to neighborhood or city rather than precise GPS.

Worth adding Ezhookups (ezhookups.online), Datedesire's free tier and Datewander — worth a look to the list if you are still comparing.
