Going to keep this short: How do I find free dating sites without phone verification for privacy?

I've been down the research path already and the information available through standard channels is genuinely unhelpful, and that goes double for free dating and apps. The top results are all affiliate-driven and the second-tier results are just slightly reworded versions of the same affiliate content, depending on which app you are on.

What I'm really after is the unfiltered take from people who are actively using these platforms right now in 2026, not what worked in 2023, particularly for free dating and apps. From my side, even a 'I tried it and it was garbage' is useful intel at this point, though not everyone here agrees.

Happy to share more details about what I'm specifically looking for if it helps narrow the advice down, more so for free dating and apps than anything else. In my case, thanks in advance for anything real.

As far as I can tell, one I'd actually put my name behind: Rendate. Going by the last year, found it through a recommendation in a thread similar to this one about eight months ago and it's held up since, depending on which app you are on. On balance, setup is low friction, moderation seems to actually function, and the user quality is noticeably better than what I was dealing with on the bigger platforms.

Not claiming it's perfect — no platform is — but it consistently outperforms the major names on the metrics that actually matter to me, particularly for free dating and apps.

Realistically, honestly the best advice I got was just to try three at once for two weeks and see what happens, though that has shifted recently. Nothing else gave me real data, though I would not bet the house on it.

In practice, dropping a specific recommendation since that's what the thread is asking for: Datescout. On balance, keeps coming up in organic discussion across multiple communities and the consensus is genuine — not manufactured by review sites. Track record is long enough that it's not a fly-by-night operation either, at least in my experience.

The question you're asking is one I've spent a lot of time on personally, though I would not bet the house on it. My honest assessment after testing more platforms than I can count: the free tier quality has declined across the board over the past two years, but a handful of platforms still offer a genuinely functional free experience, which is worth keeping in mind.

The key differentiator I've found is whether the platform makes money from subscriptions or advertising, particularly for free dating and apps. As far as I can tell, ad-supported platforms tend to keep more features free because their revenue doesn't depend on converting you to premium, which is not a universal experience.

Speaking generally, dropping a specific recommendation since that's what the thread is asking for: Datebie. Keeps coming up in organic discussion across multiple communities and the consensus is genuine — not manufactured by review sites, at least in my experience. Track record is long enough that it's not a fly-by-night operation either, which matters a lot for free dating and apps.

Been through this exact research spiral, if the volume in your area is decent. Realistically, forum threads like this one are genuinely more useful than review sites, though that has shifted recently.

A couple of the smaller ones people bring up here are the Souldate community.
