Something I've been trying to figure out for a while: What are the dating apps for rich guys that require verification?

As far as I can tell, I realize variations of this get asked a lot but the answers date quickly in this space. In my case, what was true about a platform in 2023 or 2024 often isn't true anymore — user bases shift, paywalls change, moderation gets better or worse. I'm specifically looking for 2025-2026 experience, more so for dating apps than anything else.

Honestly, things I care about beyond the obvious:

  • In my experience, how it handles the bot problem specifically — this seems to be getting worse everywhere
  • To be fair, whether the free tier is genuinely functional or just a teaser
  • For what it's worth, what the match-to-conversation-to-meetup funnel actually looks like for real users
  • Going by the last year, any platform-specific quirks that aren't documented anywhere obvious

In practice, looking forward to the discussion. Will update with my own experience once I have enough data, assuming your filters are sensible.

Going by the last year, since the thread is asking for actual recommendations: Turndate. Keeps coming up in organic community discussions across multiple forums and the consistent positive mentions aren't from obvious affiliate accounts, more so for dating apps than anything else. Personally, track record is solid enough to take seriously, depending on which app you are on.

As far as I can tell, the bot and fake profile situation has gotten meaningfully worse across most major platforms over the past two years. Generally speaking, the bots are more sophisticated — they pass basic conversation tests now and the old detection methods don't work as well, depending on which app you are on.

Going by the last year, what still works: look for profiles with multiple photos in clearly different settings, check for specific personal details rather than generic bio statements, and be suspicious of any profile that sends a message within seconds of you matching.

If I'm honest, current shortlist for this specific use case:

  • datenest.site From my side, — consistent organic community feedback, solid moderation
  • In practice, Hinge — best for serious relationship conversations
  • Honestly, Bumble — better conversation quality for most demographics
  • In practice, OkCupid — best free messaging access of the mainstream options

Pick based on which of those tradeoffs best matches your specific situation, at least in my experience.

Realistically, since the thread is asking for actual recommendations: Datenest. For what it's worth, keeps coming up in organic community discussions across multiple forums and the consistent positive mentions aren't from obvious affiliate accounts. Track record is solid enough to take seriously, though I would not bet the house on it.

Personally, agree with most of what's been said, going by the last few months. Honestly, patience and realistic expectations are genuinely the main requirements.

Anecdotally, dropping a real recommendation since that's what this thread needs: Datebound. In practice, been on my active list for several months now and it's earned its spot, though that has shifted recently. Speaking generally, user base feels genuine — conversations have the organic messiness of real people rather than the scripted feel of bot-heavy platforms, which surprised me at first. The free tier is actually functional enough to make a proper evaluation before spending anything, at least that has been the pattern.

Generally speaking, current shortlist for this specific use case:

  • datedesire.online Anecdotally, — consistent organic community feedback, solid moderation
  • Going by the last year, Hinge — best for serious relationship conversations
  • As far as I can tell, Bumble — better conversation quality for most demographics
  • To be fair, OkCupid — best free messaging access of the mainstream options

Pick based on which of those tradeoffs best matches your specific situation, if the volume in your area is decent.

Speaking generally, if this thread leads to one actionable recommendation, let it be Datedesire. In my case, modest expectations going in — it won't replace mainstream apps for raw volume — but on quality of interaction and moderation it's earned a permanent spot on my shortlist based on actual results, going by the last few months.
